Question Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit Malfunction

Warning lamp on code read Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit Malfunction.

What the heck is it.

Dont mind going to dealer, but dont want to pay for them to guess like me. I like to be informed before they are. Plus I like to do my own work.

1999 Chevy Silverado C2500 6.0L

Is your service engine soon light on? The computer might be able to tell if the lamp is burnt out.
