Just for kicks
Hey all just for shits and grins for all of you who have mod'd the hell out of your trucks......what is you top end or estimated top end on your truck. How fast have you gotten it up to? Right now I'm governed at 95 mph but I'll be getting a Nelson tune probably next month so that'll be gone.

I honestly wish I knew. I've got to find someone locally that can keep up on the squeeze. I'll say this though.....it's fast enough to scare the hell out of me, and I'm not easily shaken. It just doesn't ever seem to want to stop. I do know I've gotten it up to 115 though.......in the 1/4.

Re: Just for kicks
I did a tune last month and raised my max to 118. I've had it up to at least 110 without maxing it out. It's hard to say as the Speedometer pegs at 100 (too fast to count!!)
vroom...vroom...vroom!!!

Re: Just for kicks
My '01 had a Caddy dash and The limiter was 130, I got 120+2 or 3 one night and found the corner in the rode faster than I wanted.:22yikes: After I slowed down I remember that 25 over is a free trip, to jail that is especially at night.. ....

That's not exactly true. My first car was a '73 Monte Carlo and I got stopped one night doing 105 in a 55 and didn't go to jail.....but omg what a ticket!! In court when they read the charge the whole courtroom groaned in pain for me in unison haha

I got lucky actually. I knew the cop (he had arrested me about 6 months prior for something else) and was pretty much sick of dealing with me so he just gave me the ticket lol

Re: Just for kicks
I've taken it up to the limiter as well with 37" tires.....I don't know what size tires came stock on these(31's or 32's) and my speedo isnt recalibrated so you do the math......if they were 31's stock than i'm close to 20% off.....at 100 I'm at 120
btw...37's at that speed are not fun to be riding on.....I havent done that since.....

Re: Just for kicks
so r u sayin that they r in fact limited? mines an 01 wit a 4.8 and i have had it around 95. the tires on the bac r a bit too tall and i know its between 3 and 5 mph off at slow to moderate speeds, a little more at those higher speeds. i slowed down myself cuz of a curve tho, not cuz of any limiter i felt. was that my top speed tho? it felt to me like it had more haha
