Angry Loss of power to fuel pump

It all started on Saturday my wife calls me and tells me her car won't start, I go over and turn the key and it turns over but doesn't start. I find that It is getting no fuel. I pull off the fuel filter and it is very dirty so I replace it and the car starts and she drives it home. Forward 2 hours later we are going to a wedding hop in the car and it won't start. ( now i realize that the pump is not making any sounds) So Sunday I pull the fuel tank off and pull the pump. Monday I replace the pump with a new one and the car runs fine. She drives it to work on Tuesday and does some running around that nite. Wednesday rolls around and car will not start again. I've checked the fuses and the relay switch. Pulled the wiring and plugged them back in to make sure they are snug. Now i'm not sure where to go from there. HELP ME PLEASE.

Re: Loss of power to fuel pump

Is the pump getting power? I had a problem about a year ago with my Trans Sport minivan where one of the connectors had an intermitten connection problem. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. The connection felt snug though. The actual contacts however were bent ever so slightly too far apart to make a reliable. Just bending the pins back together fixed in in my case. That would be my starting point.
