Angry Why no TDI in Liberal states?

I live in New York and I can't buy a Jetta TDI. I think it is because the scumbags here don't want people saving on fuel (less tax dollars to douchebag liberal politicians in NY). They probably use pollution as an excuse or something.

Same reason you cant buy diesel in california, too much NoX emissions and particulate matter emissions. Too many people drive shitty cars that pollute to much, and diesels pollute more than gasoline engines.

How? But you are getting much bettter mileage so it cancels out. And it will pass inspection anyways.
It was to do with taxes.

Re: Why no TDI in Liberal states?

If the US had decent quality diesel fuel like other developed countries it wouldn't be a problem.

It's the douchebag politicians that want us to pay more on gas so they can get their tax dollars and give it to douchebags so the douchebags will vote for them.

Re: Why no TDI in Liberal states?

In my state the tax on diesel (highway use) is the same as on gasoline, so they get their money either way. The trucking lobby is the main one preventing quality Diesel fuel, as it also increases cost.
