Reapeated fuel pump failure

I have replaced the fuel pump in my 97 tahoe 4 times in the last year and a half. Does anyone know a reason why. I have seen several threads about this same matter but no one seems to have a positive answer. I have cleaned and replaced the groung connector for the fuel pump that attaches to the frame but my pump still goes out. its not easy dropping that tank.

I have installed 3 pumps over a month's time. The first two were Carquest pumps but they both were noisy and had fuel pickup issues when the tank was low and would stall the engine. Lastly I replaced with OEM pump and all problems went away.

Checked your fuel filter?

Every time I buy a new C/K, it's one of the first things I replace, it usually lets the fuel pump work better, even quieter most times.
