i beg to differ. i noticed a difference in acceleration and response when i installed mine. you're right though. it won't fit if you have an intake such as the k&n fipk, unless you have electric fans

A throttle body spacer will do nothing for a port injected engine. I can see where it might help a TBI engine for better atomizing the fuel since it's injecting the fuel at the top of the throttle body.

Re: throttle body spacer
most people who have 'em will tell you not to buy 'em. I actually posted a thread with the exact same question a few months back... here's what everyone had to say:

Check out these pics of the inside of the truck intakes. Notice how air comes through the tunnel through the center, then up through the big oval hole, and finally down into the runners. Also shows the dead space at the back of the tunnel. Now after seeing these.....would you still think the throttle body spacer would work? The stock intakes on these trucks are extremely UGLY!!!!!

Re: throttle body spacer
I will testify that the spacer helped my engine. It is more responsive from a stop than w/o the spacer. From what i gather the spacers are worthwhile for the c/k models but not beneficial for the 2000 and up silverados.
