2002 transmission is broken again.

I had the reaction shell in the transmission replaced under warranty a year and a half after I bought it. It broke during normal driving.

It looks like I am going to have to have it done again, at my expense this time.
It is exhibiting the same symptoms as last time: I have no reverse gears and it revs to 4.5K before it shifts into 3rd, no matter how much throttle it is given and I can hear a whirring type slippage in the trans (it sounds a little like a card in a bicycle's spokes.)

My wife and I drove through some desert sand to collect some rocks for our koi pond and I guess that was just too much stress for the weak stamped steel sunshell in these 4l60e transmissions.
