Anyone know where the O2 sensor is located? is this a likely suspect for a check engine light?

you need to have your codes read....alot of different things will turn on the CEL. Without knowing the code you are wasting time and money replacing parts...Autozone will read the codes for free, or you can get an inexpensive OBDII scan tool for around $75.00....
