Angry '97 Accord LX Sedan problem

Help. My wife has a 97 Accord LX sedan that she uses as a daily driver. I'm in the process of shopping for a new car for her so I can take the Accord and "play" with it. Recently the engine started cutting out while she was driving. No flooding, no jerking, no nothing, just cuts off like you killed the ignition. When it does this, all I have to do is let push in the clutch and let it back out and it will roll start. If I come to a complete stop, I can restart the car, it just takes two or three times to crank up (sometimes). Any ideas as to what would cause this? Thanks for the help.
