Looking for some help folks...

I need to know if anyone can tell me the wire location or even have a photo of the back of the larger of the 2 wire harnesses for the stock Clarion cassette radio for my 95 Nissan Pathfinder. My aftermarket stereo was stolen and the thugs cut out the factory harness and I cannot replace the OEM or aftermarket radio until I know what wire is what. All the wire diagrams that I have found on the net do not match my color wires in my pathfinder. Junkyards cut the harnesses out of the cars to sell the aftermarket deck. The dealer will only order me a whole new harness for $350 ad I cannot test the wires as there is factory amp and have no clue which wires are for the speakers. There are 9 wires and 10 slots on the plug. I need to know which color wire goes where in location to the OEM harness so I can attach an aftermarket harness. The colors of my wires that are in the dashboard are:

-Blue

-Pink

-Pink w/Blue stripe

-Green

-Green w/White stripe (12v ignition)

Red

-Red w/Green stripe

-Purple

-Pink w/Black Strip

Please help I'm without tunes...

well mark, the best thing to do is go to your auto parts store and buy a book for about 12 bucks. it has the wiring diagram for your whole truck. it comes in handy for all your truck maintenance. i buy one for every car or truck i get.

Been there, done that. I am a step ahead of you. I bought a Chilton's manual and belive it or not it does not have the radio wiring diagram. I have a friend that works in BestBuy installation center and they do not even have software for a 95 pathfinder radio wire diagram. Anyone else got any bright ideas??????

i have a 93. if it is the same i can scan my book and email it to you. hit me back w/ an email address you want me to send it to. better yet...give me a little more detail on your wire colors as in light or dark. i'll look them up and hit you back.

I'll bet the pink slip to my truck says the colors dont match but lets see. My email is MCFERRIS@COMCAST.NET

I already tried install Dr. no luck. The link you posted is for the newer 96+ Pathfinder but even so the correct harness for the 95- still has mismatching colors from what I have in my 95. Again, if you look at the colors that I list on the orginal post that started this thread...I need to identify THOSE colors of wires :banghead:. I am confident that the only solution is to have someone out there take a picture of the large plug or describe what color wire is located where on the plug.

Currently I am going thru the same issue, none of the info matches what is actually in my car. There are no factory amplifiers that I can find in the vehicle. My major issue I have is that I'm only getting sound from my front right speaker no sound whatsoever from any other speaker and I have no wires that have been cut from the harness, I need a speaker diagram from at the harness so I can install direct from aftermarket radio. Any help is appreciated, cuz i am in the same boat so to speak.

i had that issue in my 96 the stereo wires were cut (with factory amp) and so i went to a custom radio installation shop and they did it in 20 minutes. and only cost me 40 bucks.

and bestbuy doesnt know jack. the most worthless store when it comes to tech help ive ever seen

and ant1 what your discribing in infact that you have a factory amp (i believe its on the passenger side behind the back seat behind the panel, thats what a shop told me). you need to find the power wire for it. (i believe its the it is eather a ground wire that enabled it. it was gray on mine) i wish i had watched alot closer) but once you find it all speakers will work then other wise you will have to rewire all the speaker wires to bypass the factory amp

Well my boat is this after many hours of fruitless labor....I have 2 bad amplifiers and shorts in my wires so my only recourse is to do what i started to do a month ago......whole new system i run all new wire.....fun weekend for me

Well I think I can be some help. I have a 94 that the previous owner hacked the harness as well. So I hacked one out of a parts vehicle but havent had the time to install it yet. I will snap a pic of it when I get a chance but it probably wont be untill saturday.

I couldn't get a good picture so I will explain this the best that I can.

With the oem connector lying flat with the wires running away from me and the clip is on the top. I will read the colors starting from the left moving to the right. The first row is:

1. Green with white stripe
2. Pink with blue stripe
3. Red with green stripe
4. White
5. Orange with green stripe

The second row is:

1. No Wire
2. Pink with black stripe
3. Red
4. Orange
5. White with blue stripe

6 pin connector the first row is:

1. red
2. blue
3. pink

the second row is:

1. green
2. blue with yellow stripe
3. gray
