Next doofus question.....

What tranny was used on the 1978 f-50 ranger with a straight 6? Was it the c-6? Thanks in advance for the research help!

Re: Next doofus question.....

You would have to check the door tag ( this gives you the specs on your truck) and then find a book that would help you decode them. Your truck could have 5 possible tranny's, 1. 3 speed manual
2. 4 speed manual with
bull low
3. C-4 auto
4. FMX auto
5. C-6 auto
Another way would be to go to a tranny shop and ask them, they service so many tranny's, they can usually tell from sight.
