Question VERY strange wiring prob. 97 Tahoe

After i turn off the truck the radio seems to stay on. Not all the time, bout once a week, I've been having to jump it from time to time and i just now noticed it. THe funny this is, you can hit anyone of the p/w swithces (with key off) and the radio goes off untill you let off the button, WTF?? Its factory radio that i added a amp to. Did that couple of yrs. ago with no probs. until now, so i dont think thats the prob. Anybody experience anything similar??

I had the same problem...
Double check your amp wiring or unplug all power to your amp... More than likely you are feeding power back to the radio via the amp which keeps the radio on. If I remember correctly, I had a bad ground or I was feeding power via the speaker wires.

Is your amp directly wired to the battery? That's the source of power from the amp back to the radio.

By pressing down on the power windows you are pulling what little power back feeding to the radio out of the system which shuts off the radio, you release the power window and there is enough power to keep the radio on.

Check your AMP wiring !!!!!
Check your ground wire !!!!
