106 Boot Catch

I'm not sure if anyone can offer any advice,

But i have a 106 Zest 3 and i recently had a bit of a bump when reversing. The boot catch itself now will not hold the boot closed. At first i thought it was out of alignment, but it is not. In fact, afterclicking the cathc into the locked position, applying any pressure (downwards) causes it to open up again.

My question is, if i get the catch replaced, will this require and new boot locking system as well?

Thanks in advance.
