How much are we talking???ssoratokad 08-27-2005, 10:39 PM How much can i sell my 1.5 SOHC VTEC (VX) engine, tranny, ecu, the whole shabangabang? I was thinking around $750, is that reasonable? And does $2000 sound about right considering that the ls swap that im going to buy is $1000? Ace$nyper 08-27-2005, 10:42 PM good luck seeing 3 digits no one wants them. maybe 150 if your lucky. CivicSpoon 08-27-2005, 11:06 PM Yeah $750 is WAY too high. It's a 90hp economy engine. The only people who would want to buy it would be someone who owns a VX and has a blown engine, that's it. Someone could pay less for a jdm d15b vtec (130hp). And does $2000 sound about right considering that the ls swap that im going to buy is $1000? Does $2000 sound right for what? ZedEx 08-28-2005, 01:26 AM I'm thinking you may be able to get $200 for that powertrain, if it's in PERFECT condition. Hell, the best offer I got for my perfect condition Z6 powertrain was $550. So let me ask you this... Are you doing the swap yourself? If not... Double your price, and throw a couple hundred on top of that price. Want some advice? Learn to do it yourself, it may take a lot of work, and time, and effort... But you save a ton of money, and gain a ton of knowledge. Just my advice. -Wes ssoratokad 08-28-2005, 01:06 PM Yeah $750 is WAY too high. It's a 90hp economy engine. Does it sound right that if i buy a ls swap for 1000 itll cost me another grand for the labor and the other stuff that i have to buy(axels, motormounts, ect.) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
