can you sheck the crank position sensor if it is out of the vehicle ?
I have no spark at coil output wire, and no fuel pressure. The pump does run for three seconds after key is turned on. coil tested ok. thanks

I had a similar problem with mine. No spark but fuel in the rail. i replace the crank snnsor and it fixed the problem. If you turn the ignition key on and off three times, the check engine light will flash in a certain series. That will indicate the error code. If it not the crank sensor then try the cams position sensor. I had the same problem on both my 87 and 90. Turned out it was the cam position sensor in the distributor.

everything seemed to point to the crank sensor, so while checking for voltage I found 5.8 volts running through the GROUND wire ( center ) in the harness going to the crp sensor. Further checking showed 5.8 volts on all grounds going to temp sensor, cmp sensor, ecm, the whole works. Figuring there was a ecm problem, or a pinched wire that would be impossible to find, I ran a fused wire from the ground to the firewall ground strap. The jeep started right up after 2 months of no fire. This jeep isn't in great shape, and the owner doesn't want to put anymore $$ into it to fix it right. thanks to all who sent info.......
