Unhappy Hopfully my last post

Well after careful thought and another thing going wrong I've decided to sell my 89 camaro and get a firebird or maybe a newer car. It almost brings a tear to my eye. For some reason when I turn it on now it has a low rattle vibrating thing going on. ONly last for about 5 seconds right after I turn it on, but enough is enough. And IM thinking about 700 for a new tranny to be put in and 200 to get the controlling mechanism for the multi function turn signal thing. Who knows what for a new radiator. 200 for 2 new tires, heater, headliner, paintjob ect. I might as well get a firebird and stop wasting mine and all your time trying to fix the problems on top of problems. I figure its just not right to have to think about all those things everytime I turn the key. So sadly this will be my last post in the camaro section. Unless I cant sell the cursed thing which is very probable. Maybe I'll just rip the plates and vin off and let it sit in a bad neighborhood overnight. Thanks for all the help.

Well actually you can keep posting here because the Firebird is exactly like a Camaro, powertrain wise.

Re: Hopfully my last post

Strix,

Sounds like a used 3rd gen Camaro if you asked me.

Realisticly, you know what you have, only you can dettermine if another car is going to be a can of worms. BUT, take a look around the forum, and a good number of guys don't even have there's in running condition (Hi Rally! )

Anyway, there's not much left ot possibly go wrong (Aside from subframe rot) so me honestly, I'd take it one step at a time.

And as far as cash goes, there are many sources to save, junk yards, swap meets, e-bay etc.

Your call tho.

Thats why firebirds are cool. Hopfully its a little bit more well put together. Thats a good point and I'll probably end up keeping the camaro I'll just stop dumping money into it and put it towards getting something I can drive that I dont have to keep a tool shop in my back seat in case the wheel falls off or something.
