No, the engine light never comes on

sounds like one of your bulbs isnt connected behind the gauge cluster, or one of the wires isnt making a connection...i had the same thing happen when i tried to disconnect my AirBag bulb from the back of it and install it....its not the same noise as when the door is open, its like more of an alert noise.
