friends 2002 F250 diesel shut down driving down the highway, caused accidents, bad deal. he cycled the key and it restarted. has happened a couple more times. - anyone with experience/answers???

7.3 check oil pressure regulator and wires to it. it just in front of the fuel filter housing in the back of the oil pump . not the oil pump for the engine this oil pump makes the pressure needed to fire the injectors. The ignition cuts power to the regulator turning the engine off.
