Talking 97 z24 pass.window issue/interesting story

ok SO im a SR. at cary high and tonight we were suppost to trash the campus b/c its the first day of school tomorrow well i have a buddy screaming out of my passenger window while throwing tp everywhere when he says "DUDE whats up w/ your window" i was like what are you talking about? he said "it wont go up" and sure enough i pushed the switch and it didnt go up....now it did go up in short bursts periodically after about 5 minutes of random button jabbing where it seemed to go up inch by inch. does any1 have any idea whats up? i have had my door panel off b4 if that has somthing to do w/ it but my buddy also did not lean on it when pushing the button it seemed to have died on its own. but to finish my story the cops showed up and we all ended up taking our toilet paper to a rival highschool and decorating their tree's hopefully we will be on the news tomorrow but seriously any advice would help

I had the same problem in my Jimmy (I drive a 97 Z24 now). The window would go up in spurts as if it had to recharge like a dying battery. Eventually it crapped out altogether. Turned out to be the power window motor. If that's the case with your Z24, I recommend you get one from a scrap yard. A new one can be pricey!

Good luck!

I couldn't even guess....not sure what the Cavy parts sell for....I paid $50 for my Jimmy window motor, but that was many years ago and in Canadian dollars.

Sorry!
