Engine problempbaddict03120 08-23-2005, 10:53 PM I have a 1992 Toyota Paseo and a 2. This is a question about the paseo.(I am asking in this forum because no one would check the other.) When I have the throttle around two thousand rpms then punch it the car seems to bog very very heavily. Sometimes the throttle will kick in no problems, other times the car seems like there is a fuel cut. This does not happen when I lightly or heavily roll on the throttle. Please help. Peace. You probably have a transmission problem....then again, it is a paseo... pbaddict03120 09-05-2005, 08:07 PM trans problem you gotta be kiddin me ac427cpe 09-05-2005, 08:42 PM your TPS could be out of wack, or your injectors could just be old and not working well... any number of things can cause that pbaddict03120 09-16-2005, 03:09 PM thsnks for the info pbaddict03120 09-18-2005, 10:39 PM i odn't think it is the injectors because at higher rpms the power is steady. Also what would be wrong witht he transmission for that to be the problem? EmmArTooGuy 10-04-2005, 05:34 PM The '96 Tercel has a similar problem: felt as a heavy jerk under acceleration. The car has done it since it was new. You could have any number of engine management problems though. You don't have a gearbox problem; at least not that is causing the symptoms you discribed. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
