Question Astro wire short

does anyone know the best place to purchase wiring schematics for a 99 astro. I have been looking for a short in the courtesylamp, elec mirror, cig lighter since the dealer gave up at 60,000 miles.now hace 150,000 but still in the dark. This is an explorer conversion and they may have nicked a wire during the build

Re: Astro wire short

I use a lamp to find shorts.
I'm assumming that the fuse blows, rather than an open circuit.
Put a lamp, say a turn signal, wired inplace of a fuse.
When you have a short, the lamp is bright. When you open the circuit, the lamp goes out. Sometimes, a bare wire will touch ground over a bump, and the light comes on.
That said, I'll assume the conversion left the mirrors etc alone, so I'd look at the courtesy lamps. Not much to do but follow the wires. 2nd, wires wear where (?) they go thru the doors / frame.
Good luck.
