Question about some chatter

ok, when my clutch pedal is depressed, the transmission area is quiet, but when the pedal is released in neutral it starts with some clicking/chatter.....any ideas?

throwout bearings

Its your throwout bearings, its a common problem w/ the lancers. Mitsubishi now has a modified throwout bearing to fix this problem. I would wait until you are replacing the clutch to do this unless the throwout bearing is completely shot and must be replaced. Just make sure you get the new throwout bearing
