electric cooloing fansteemsta 08-19-2005, 02:26 PM i have a 94 jgcl 5.2 and i was thinking about going with an electric cooling fan from jc whitney parts. will it perform better than my engine driven fan and is it easy to put in? i know i have to take off the old fan and pulley and add wiring. any input on this would be great thanks ramairgto72 08-21-2005, 02:42 AM You know I was thinking of doing the same to my 93, and if I was I would look for a factory set up from a jeep like my 98 that has the 5.9 with HD cooling. However saying that, it's very easy to go buy an electric fan from summitraceing.com for around $80 and use the plastic in rad connectors. Also note that if you have AC "da" you will need a relay that auto turns on the fan when you turn on the AC. I would go with Flex-a-lite, they are 100% USA and are on the cutting edge of fan blade shapes. They also offer everything you need with your Jeep including a "smart box" that will kick on the fan/fans when you use your AC. Good luck I hope this helps. teemsta 08-21-2005, 11:08 AM thanks for the info SteveB05 08-22-2005, 02:26 AM I run two 12" fans on the radiator and one 6" on my oil cooler. Not sure I can say they cool better than a belt driven fan with a good clutch, but they open up some compartment room which I needed for the remote oil filter kit etc. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
