To all F22 turbo Accord owners

What kind of turbo setup do you have? Did you do any work on the internals? How is the setup working you for?" How much did everything cost?

Why would it be too much trouble? Companies like F-Max made turbo kits for F22s. There is alo a Drag turbo kit for F22s? What's the too much trouble?

Thumbs up

i had the same thoughts as you....cause i wanted to do turbo f22
but then i figure...all that money being put into a engine thats just gonna be as fast as the h22 and some mods. might as well waste the extra money and get h22. so thats prolly what im gonna do

or you could bore and/or stroke your engine until its as fast as an H22. F22s are 145 HP. H22s are 200. With one or two aftermarket parts and some stroking, the F22 could be 200HP.. Then we could turbo the engine without having to run too much boost to get results. That's another option I just thought of. The bore and stroking process costs less than the H22 engine and its installation.

I was actually thinking of getting a stroker kit for my F22, its apparently alot cheaper than an H22 conversion. For about 600 bucks or so, you could get a nice boost in HP equivalent to a H22's (maybe w/som mild modding) and as a plus the stroker kit is not as common, so even if your hood's popped and checked, they'll still have a suprise coming.

i noticed the conversations you had with others about turbocharging an f22. and i am an example to that. i have a 1994 turbocharged vtec accord. i was dynoed at 207hp at the wheels with a blown head gasket at 6psi. doesnt seem like much but considering the vtec accord does 145 stock at the flywheel (probably 120 at the wheels) thats a big difference. almost 100 horses from 6psi. but that also includes the bored out block and forged internals with a custom head. so just imagine cranking it up to 12psi, which i s what i am shooting for after i change my head gasket.

Re: To all F22 turbo Accord owners

OK, so I have an f22a, how much is it to bore out the cylinders? And to what diameter should I get them bored? Also, if I decided to take this path, could I put a turbo in?

Re: To all F22 turbo Accord owners

So would this be a SOHC vs. DOHC kinda deal? or is this a Turbo vs. N/A deal. Because I like the DOHC engines and N/A , so I'm thinking of going with a H22, but I heard that SOHC engines work very well with Turbos because of its SOHC engine and everything...
