Daytime Running Lights and Strange Noise

I am completely new to this forum. I bought my 2002 'Hoe a month ago and I love it! Drives great and the AC is ice cold. All in all a million times better than my 14 yr old BMW. OK. Here are my questions. My right front DRL is off during the day, but at night it is on. I have tried it with my lights on at night and the lights off and it still remains on at night. Why does it turn off during the day? The left one is on during the day and at night. Second question, sometimes I hear a noise like an air compressor in the back when I turn the truck over. BTW, this is an LT. Thanks!

Jim

Anyone have any thoughts on this? It is very strange because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Where are the connections located so I can check to see if there are any loose?
