RWD Conversion

I have read a couple of post and have heard about a RWD Conversion. Exactly what does this consist of and how much would it cost?

In my opinion, way to much... add in engine, tranny, driveshaft, rear end, all the fabrication and mods, wouldnt be worth it when Chevy already has rear drive cars out there about the same as a Lumina which would be much easier to "hop up" with bigger stronger engines and such
