Need window seals for 1986 Grand AM

I need all the side window weather seals for my 1986 Grand AM. They can no longer be ordered through the dealer. I also need the side mouldings that go from front quarter panel to rear quarter panel. Any suggestions? I have searched the internet with little success.

My only suggestion it too look on ebay, or go to a junk/salvage yard. That would be your best bet. The moldings normally you can find a good set from a junk car you may need to paint them. as far as the weather stripping for the outside windows, you can do a couple different things, for the time being get some silicone and patch the cracks, and try to fill up any large missing pieces, if it's really bad try to find a set that is not cracked as bad until you can find one in near perfect conditon. Good luck,

body parts

I have found a few jewels at http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=213815

Unfortunately, if a dealer can't get them, they are scarce.

Best of luck.

Another thought i forgot to mention, when looking for the weather stripping for the windows, you can get them from years 85-91, it should fit, i don't recall any differences. The moldings do change slightly in 89-91.

Thanks for the advice. I called my dealer back and this time they were able to locate the outside weather seals. The first time I called them I was told the parts were discontinued. They were able to get two of the seals from a vendor that buys up discontinued parts from GM then redistributes to dealers. They averaged about $40 a piece, but that is better than having the doors rust out.
