Unhappy Changing Radiator

My wife has a 2000 Bettle 2.0 engine with the automatic transmission. The radiator has developed a hair line crack and is dripping fluid. My question is has any one changed and replaced a radiator and if so how hard is it. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty but I don't want to screw up anything either. The shop says 4.5 hrs of labor at $90 per hr. plus the cost of the radiator.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Changing Radiator

Hey, I had a Mazda Millenia Supercharged a couple months back with a hairline crack... I went to Autozone and they had an additive that was kind of thick and metallic, about 5-6 dollars... fixed it right up.
It its really small then I would try that but other than that... buy a radiator on ebay and get it installed at a lil shop that you trust.
good luck, keep posted
