Question A/C Problems

Hello all, having problems with the A/C in my 97 VW GTI. The air is nice and cold, but I am having problems with condensation.....lots of condensation. It coming out of the floor vents and pooling on the floor inside the car. Any thoughts?

The water drain tube is problably clogged pretty bad. You have to go in through the engine bay and poke and prod at the vent tube untill all the crap comes out (do it while engine running and a/c on from under the car.)

You will have to pull back some of the heat shield material off the firewall.

Re: A/C Problems

Thanks dude, that did it. I had suspected as much, but I was looking for the drain tube in the wrong place. Turns out, there is no drain tube, it is just a small flap about the size of a nickle that comes right out of the firewall. I got over a gallon of water once I cleared the clog. Thanks for the help.
