well guys I finally got my speed sensor out and the tranny was 1 quart low on fluid, anyway I read a couple posts about making sure the tranny vent tube is clear otherwise you will blow a seal, is there a way to check the cap on the tranny and see if it is clear? I reached down and can spin the cap and there is no oil or anything around the vent on top of the tranny, where the hell could a quart have gone? this is a 94 escort with 154000 miles and a good runner, any suggestions? thanks fellas

At the base of the vent there should be a place to get on it with a wrench. You can remove the vent then blow through it to make sure it is clear. Good thing you discovered you were low on fluid. :2cents:
