new tires and rims problem
I APPOLOGIZE ABOUT THE LENGTH IN ADVANCE....PLEASE READ!
So I am at work actually enjoying work.....when my boss gets over the walkie and asks for me to get carts. I ablige (spelling?) and go get carts.
As I am outside getting carts I notice that my rear passenger tire is low. I didn't really inspect it just looked at it from 20 feet away.
So, I think nothing of it and continue to get carts (I work at Target here in Norfolk). I was joking around and saw one of my friends, who is mighty good looking, and jokingly told her to take my car like 100 yards to put air in it. She's like ok! I told her I was just messing.
Well after I go bring in about 25 carts and take my lunch and buy an air compressor ($15). I go outside, and try to put air in it and notice the tire wasn't inflating. As close inspection I notice someone had taken a knife and stabbed my brand new tire with it, and for a reason and whoever did it, I am totally clueless.
Keep in mind these are my new tires and rims that I got just about a month ago and have had then on my car for about 3 weeks now.
I just thought I would let you all know a problem that I had with something that I own that is actually nice. Besides my Cavalier already.
So anyways as I'm very very very VERY pissed off, I go back inside and talk to security which wasn't much help because I didn't park my car in the team member parking zone therfore the camera more than likely didn't catch the soniva b**** that did this to my car.
So last night I had my bro bring my stock wheels and tires and i put those on last night and took my new rims off in the parking lot at work at 11 pm.....a new tire is gonna cost just over $120 and will be here monday.
In conclusion, I filed a police report and will turn it into insurance tomorrow and see what happens from there.
Thanks soo much for reading this and if you have any comments please post. Thanks again....sorry about the length.

Re: Bastards--new tires and rims problem
To be honest with ya, it's not THAT big of a deal. But just kinda makes me angry that someone would do that to me just to do it.
I am on good terms with like everybody....I don't piss people off.
I don't think it was somebody I know and it probably was someone just wanted to see if there was actually air in low profile tires.....then again it might be someone I know that don't like me for some unknown reason.
Whoever it was had no right to do that and I hope there was a witness or our secuirty camera did get a snip of this persons face....bc I just wanna know who did it.

Re: Bastards--new tires and rims problem
Wow that would make me so mad. I dont get why people like to key cars, pop tires and egg. I'll admit in my earlier teen years I did some egging and it was to people that we hated. Never did damage though cause the people were never stupid enough to leave the egg on. Do people get so jealous that they decide to make a mark on a car or what? That sucks though. Hope you find out who did it.

Eventually someone will overhear something and then I will probably end up hearing it. But what can you do though right? Can't keep an eye on your car 24/7....it would be nice, but you can't.
It was just someone being a jerk and asshole possibly even jealous.

you might try parking in the "team member" parking zone, you may not be able to sneak out to your car and smoke weed on break, but your car will be watched at least.....

Re: Bastards--new tires and rims problem
I hate people like that. Thats the problem with the world today. People have no respect for other peoples property. The other day I literally watched someone push a shopping cart directly at another persons car. Luckily I stopped the cart before it hit the car. But I placed it right behind the van of the people that pushed it off. Kinda of funny because they didn't see me do it and the backed right into it. LOL sorry still getting a good laugh from that. That really sucks that that happened to your car man. Oh and about egging. A friend mine use to have a cavy that he put a blitz bodykit on. He had had the kit on for about 3 weeks and he was that his wifes house (at the time his girlfriend) anyway his car was egged (wife ex did it). Anyways when he got to his house he was pulling it to a gravel lot beside his garage that they have. Will to get into the lot there is a piece of wood that you have to drive over that sticks up about 4 inches, and when he went to go over it hit went over it too fast and caught the bottom of the bumper on it and it ripped the bottom portion of the bumper off. He was pissed

Is it true eggs can fuck up your paint? I had to leave my house for our last show choir competition at like 4:30 to get my friend and get to school. Well, I go out and there were two cartons of eggs on my car. It was a cold night and the shit was frozen and barely came off my windows. Right when I saw it, I had a feeling I knew who did it. We went to the competion... of course I was pissed as hell. I confronted the person I thought did it and guess what? It was her and her boyfriend... they used to be two of my good friends. I didnt get to wash it until about 30 hours after it happened, how long before the egg messes up the paint?

Yes they do, and I passed....obviously.
But yes paint can screw up your paint. I had a neighbor driving along the highway just getting into town and the speed limit is 50, and a car had passed them going the opposite direction and threw an egg and it hit there car. Well they got home and stopped to wash it off and it literally took ships of paint off there car.
So it might depend on the weather whether or not it will take paint off, but if it's cold and you try to peal it off yout hink it would peal the paint with it.....if its hot outside and you try to wash it off, it could be baked onto the paint.
Don't qote me on the last paragraph tho, but yes I have seen egg take off paint before.

Think you meant eggs can screw up your paint. Slices of bologna can mess up paint to. Leave in sitting on a car overnight and it will cause the paint to faint really bad in that area.

ive heard paintballs can mess up a cars paint too, however i tried it on my old car just to see, and it didnt do a thing, of course that may be different with a newer car, a car with a halfway decent paint job
