HELP 1998 z71 oil breather?

Hello,

I am looking to install an oil breather in the valve cover that has the vent tube going to the intake tube, and getting rid of the vent tube and plugging the hole in the intake tube. Has any one done this? I cant really see a downside to it. Does any one know where to get the proper size breather? I rather know ahead a time instead of buying and returning. Ok, this just came to mind. This is where the pcv valve is right? But only I dont think I saw one when I removed the tube from the valve cover before... wonder where it went... Besides that fiasco, the pcv is only used to vent/suck pollution out of the engine and burn it through combustion right? Well I know we should all do our part for the enviroment, but there is no emmissions testing (YET) where I live. Any thought? ideas? thanks for your time and help.

Mike
