Re: Remove emblems/badges

buy some adhesive remover goo gone or walmart sell some little wipe packages for $0.62 each in the car dept just pull the sticker badge real careful so you dont pull the paint then use the wipe or goo gone to take the adhesive out

If it doesn't come up easy, apply lots of heat to it (think wifes hair dryer)...that will loosen the adhesive. If it's just a sticker/decal, it should be easy get off if it's new. Start it with your finger nail. If itis baked on for years, then it's more difficult (and you'll probably have paint discoloration).

If it's a "badge" (thicker than just a sticker/decal), fishing wire works awesome. You can get it between the badge and the car to cut through the adhesive. Then you'll just have to clean the "goo" off as stated above.

I always demand the dealer not put any stickers or advertisements of any kind on the vehicle or remove them if on already. On my 05 TB they gave me a Chevy bow tie trailer hitch cover emblazoned with their name. I gave it back to them. They all say the same thing in response: "You don't want to advertise for me?" I say "No". Subject over.

Re: Remove emblems/badges

the fishing line worked great with the goo gone.

very easy. i just had to keep spraying the goo gone and had to heat it some (it was already a 95 degree day)

should i also remove my "TRAILBLAZER LT" or leave it as is?

You're welcome...learned it from an old friend who used to do detailing work in high school a few decades ago. I'll pass along the kudos to him. Glad I could help.
