Unhappy Driver Side Power Window

This goes out to Teddy77 or anyone else who could give me some advice. I'm having the exact same problem that Teddy77 described in his post and wanted to know what he did to fix this. The driver side window on my 1999 Blazer is stuck in the up postion. When I toggle the power window button it just clicks and nothing happens. I wanted to know if it was diffenitly the door regulator or the motor. I made the mistake of first replacing the control console thinking that it might be the push button itself to no avail.

Thanks

Re: Driver Side Power Window

Have you checked the fuses?

Re: Driver Side Power Window

Yep. That's the first thing that I did. It appears that only one fuse according to the block diagram on the fuse panel controls all of the windows and all of the other ones run just fine.

Re: Driver Side Power Window

you know i have the same problem. i took apart the door and tapped the motor with a hammer while pushing the button down and the window works again. it seems like every once in a while when i roll the window up it will make a click sound. if i dont quickly reverse the window its like the motor gets stuck... but this is just a temporary fix.

Driver Side Power Window

Thanks,
I'll give that a try this weekend. It's worth a shot before I have to take it into the dealer and pay big bucks....

Just an update. Better late than never, I guess. I simply banged on the driver side door with my hand about where I thought that the motor was and the window has worked ever since.....
