A 10" MTX Thunder8000 powered by a 760w Pioneer. It is just enough to be heard inside, but not enough to be noticeable outside. I love it.

2 300 watt 4-way pioneer 6x9's powered by a 500 watt rockford fosgate (or however you spell it) amp and a 12 inch 500 watt pioneer sub powered by a 500 watt generic wal mart amp (sounds incredible for less then $100)

just a quick opinion question me and a buddy were discussing last night, do you think speakers can wear out? i dont mean like wear out when you hook your 300 watt sub up to a 1000 watt amp, i mean if everything is "proper", over time, do you think the speakers eventually start sounding shittier, i dont mean like a month or 2 either, i mean like 2-3 years

Yeah, speakers/subs can wear out on you. I think under normal circumstances, it would take a long time, but if you play them a lot and they endured harsh temperatures, it will happen sooner.

Thats sweet. What kind? Be sure to check what the RMS capacity is. Max power means nothing. Just be careful and dont buy cheap eBay shit.
