2000 Jimmy Terrible Gas Mileage

Hey all,

In the past few months my gas mileage has gotten terrible. I am averaging about 8-10 mpg around town, and about 14mpg on the freeway. I have also noticed that I really have to put my foot into it lately to get it above 60MPH.

About 2 months ago the gas mileage was worse than that. Both front bearings had gone out and I was getting about 100 miles out of a full tank. After replacing both front bearings, it got better, but not where it should be.

Currently I have 59,420 miles on it. I am thinking of replacing the spark plugs/wires, but I feel it's a little early. The manual recommends replacing them at 100,000 miles. Should I waste my time doing this or is there anything else you guys can recommend?
