Unhappy 94 Firebird will not crank

I have a 94 Formula Firebird with a V-8 engine. The motor will turn over but it is not getting any fire at all. Please help it's driving me crazy not driving it. I am stuck driving a badly beat up 89 Grand Prix that looks and drives terrible compared to my firebird.

If it is distributor V8 then I would think that the control module in the distributor is probably bad ,,take off the cap and there is a little electric control mudule that is held in by two screws and has elec. plugs in both ends of it,,it is about a 27 dollar part..if you replace it yourself make sure you put the dielctric grease on the metal side of the dontroller between it and the mounting surface. good luck!

sorry ,,there is also the possibilty that the coil is faulty and this screws into the top of the distributor under a black plastic cap,,with small 1/4 inch screws holding it in place.

It is probably the LT1 V8 which means it has the optispark setup on the front of the camshaft behind the water pump. Just out of curiosity, did you replace the water pump recently or is it leaking?
