Street racing (not necessarily camaro related)

so I was out prowling about some of what you might call the "popular race scene" in my area and I found a few, nothing real good, just college kids and guys getting back from work after working the evening shift. best thing I smoked was this consumer EVO model and that was actually barely a challenge. but before he pulled off on to a two-lane road he gave me some hand gesture that I didnt recognize, mainly cause it was dark; but then it struck me. Everyone has their own little hand gestures they throw out the window that usually mean absolutely nothing or have multiple meanings to other drivers. For instance, the guy now that I think about it prolly flipped me a peace sign or something but if he was LS1 or Mustang GT that could mean he is just playing with me and that he is only in second gear, so I could let off the gas and he could go even faster and then I could just feel like a deutsch.

So my question is this: Are there any actual universal signs of the most amatuer street racing?

PS: whenever I race on the street its always at like 1:00 am and its a quiet neighborhood so dont fling my too much crap for being 'unsafe'

The one I see the most is but obviously the most well known universal sign....... when they flip me the bird

Yeah I didn't know there was a 'sign language' for racers...haha. The only two I can think of are and ...I personally like to use one after the other...

Oh, yeah, it's perfectly safe to race in the streets at 1 in the morning.

Hell I only hear about an entire family getting wiped out on an average twice a week, driving home from whatever early in the morning and some "sensable 1 in the morning street racer" slams into the family vehicle. And that's just the ones you DO hear about.

Or hell just the other night, 4 young kids with their whole life ahead of them, wrapped around a tree removed by fire hoses.

Sorry man, that just hits a nerve, speed kills, there's a time and place for it under certain conrtolls. It's your local track.

good call street racings its fun but really really risky to many different things and just happen or pop out at u and end up slaming in to them

but still everyones and a while u gotta cut it lose and if u line up with a car worth race give him a taste but don't get crazy

Re: Street racing (not necessarily camaro related)

its not even like im out night after night doing it... ugh, I knew someone was gonna get all like this. When I say street I mean very VERY held back street racing, if I dont feel comfortable coming up on a corner or a intersection I know to be risky I always back off, its not like im slamming straight through red lights or weaving in and out of traffic. But yes, there is always a risk and I do my best to minimize my testosterone to prevent accidents
