how much
how much did you guys pay for your car?
mine was 6 grand with the full rebuilt 355
another 700 to safety nothing big
but im just curious what other ppl paid
and thats 6 grand canadian

3,500 plus to repair the front end and suspenion plus paint in all close to 6,000 invested and its still stock.

Just kidding, $14,500 is true, and I knew about most of it's issues, but it turned into a f'ing nightmare when I got it back... new clutch, needs trans rebuilt, speedo cable, needs #3 cylinder figured out, new front wheel & tires (want wider).... C'mon Jim, you mean to tell me you don't have any friends with toys that their other halves are telling them they MUST get rid of?
I just lucky, friend bought it for misc. parts for another project. never ended up getting to it, wife wanted it gone. He knew I'd been scrounging the trenches for a cheapie 3rd gen, then I got the call.
Now, don't get me wrong, she ain't perfect. I have my fair share of rotted sheet metal to deal with. But atleast as far as the power plant is concerned, I more than got my monies worth.

14,500 and it came with all those problems?
btw i say keep the out side (wheels tires and everything else) looking the way it looks in the pic, looks bad ass.

Cost me $3,250 US. But then afterwards, I realized the tires were rotted (had deep cracks everywhere) so that was about $300 more. Then I looked on the inner upper left window and found an old sticker that said next oil change was at like 72K miles, and the car was at 86K miles. Pulled out the dipstick and sure enough, the oil was black and sludgey. So Paid another $100 something to get the oil all flushed out. So all in all, it was roughly around $3700 altogether. Not too bad of a deal.
