Rotor Removal on 2001 Cavalier

I attempted a brake job on my 2001 cavy. Everything went okay until I tried to pull the rotors off and was unable to do it. I got the center 30 mm socket and it didn't help. Can someone please help me out. Do I need a special tool to get the rotors off. I tried a rubber hammer and it would not move. The repair manual makes no sense.

it should just pull off, the only thing you can do really is fight with it some more, maybe spray it down with wd-40 or take a ball peen hammer to break the "rust bond".....

Re: Rotor Removal on 2001 Cavalier

yup if buying new rotors just hit it with a hammer a few times. and you shouldnt need to take any bolts off where the wheel bearing is.
