Hm, have you run the car for codes? I'd do that before just random replacing.

Yes, it depends on what kind of code runner you're using. If you buy the code reader from GM, it obviously wont work because the check engine light has to flash, but there are newer ones that dont do that. You could just goto like Autozone and ask them or Orielly.

I had the same thing happen to a Cavalier once. It turned out to be the IAC. Yeah that sucked. I was getting stuck in intersections everywhere because every time I hit the brakes the engine would stall. I'd have to shift into park and nuetral-drop the damn car to keep it running! Good luck...

My Camaro had the similar problem, and since I had no money WHATSOEVER to fix it, I did this, all you have to do is drive with both feet, you get used to it quickly.

Like when you're at an intersection or so, put your car in neutral and keep your left foot on the brake and the right on the gas, slightly giving it some. Later on when you get it done right you just stay in drive and lightly keep your gas down a bit along with the brake. It isnt too hard and I had to do it for the longest time though.

I have to do that too. Now I can't drive without doing it. It comes in handy though. When you wanna beat someone off the line... just rev it up a little higher (when your car starts to move, dispite you pushing the brake down with all your might, thats to much).

Oh one more thing. remember to leave extra room infront of you and the next car.

Lol I became a pro at it, I didnt have to worry about that.

Thankfully my Monte Carlo doesnt have anything like that happen to it.

Yeah, mine is now doing this God forsaken thing also. Gotta look at it tonite, hopefully it's something minor. Hey Rally, at autozone, it's free right, to check the codes? Also, where do they hook it up. That plug under the dash on the drivers side?
