what's wrong with gsr?frstwht2gengsr 08-07-2005, 10:24 AM i have a 93 integra gs-r stock except aem cold air intake with horrible times at the track my best so far is 16.5 what should i be running? my buddy with a sir personal best is 16.0 pepsihatman 08-07-2005, 12:46 PM You should be right up there at 15.3 or so I thought. the 1993 GSR is a 1.7 liter vtec motor right? I was under the impression that they ran about the same time as the newer GSR's with the b18c1. superbluecivicsi 08-07-2005, 01:58 PM slicks and more practice. frstwht2gengsr 08-08-2005, 09:22 AM i guess i doesn't help running on snows knorwj 08-08-2005, 03:44 PM maybe its old and tired, or maybe you just need more practice with it. They are tricky to launch. with practice and a properly running 2nd gen you should be able to beat a newer gs-r. frstwht2gengsr 08-09-2005, 10:17 AM well i really don't think it's old and tired it's in amazing shape what should i be at the wheel on a dyno?? plus my buddy sir is also about 300lbs lighter the the same horse power out put he should be a little quicker frstwht2gengsr 08-09-2005, 12:49 PM well i really don't think it's old and tired it's in amazing shape what should i be at the wheel on a dyno?? plus my buddy sir is also about 300lbs lighter the the same horse power out put he should be a little quicker knorwj 08-10-2005, 03:39 PM well i really don't think it's old and tired it's in amazing shape what should i be at the wheel on a dyno?? plus my buddy sir is also about 300lbs lighter the the same horse power out put he should be a little quicker there's more than just HP and weight. Gearing plays a large role(however he may have you there as well). Also driver plays the biggest part. Tires also play a role. Sticky tires will dramatically increase performance (acceleration and handling) edit: I also forgot that the B17 while yes it does have the same HP it puts out more torque and has a better torque curve than a B16 does. Having a better torque curve in the B17 allows you to sustain your torque better and build the 160 HP sooner in your rpm than he does. Ace$nyper 08-11-2005, 04:38 PM I'd kill for a b17 well pre b18 heh b17s are awesome motors yea being with snow tires can hurt your times a comp test might not hurt. whtteg 08-11-2005, 05:13 PM Altitude plays a big role in 1/4 mile times too guys. He might be at a high elevation. knorwj 08-11-2005, 05:39 PM Altitude plays a big role in 1/4 mile times too guys.
