Changed head gasket now check engine light?

I have a 95 camry with the 2.2L which i just changed the head gasket on. The car runs great but now when it is revved over 4500rpms the check engine light comes on but goes out once turned off and restarted. I believe the code is a knock sensor code. All plugs are in place and did not do it before the head gasket change. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the AF!

It is likely you either loosened a connection for the knock sensor or damaged the wiring for it while you were working on the head gasket.

Re: Changed head gasket now check engine light?

Thanks for the quick reply. Where exactly is the knock sensor located on this engine? Thanks again.

Download and uncompress the '94 Camry manual in the sticky post at the top of this forum. The information is in there - along with alot of other useful information.

Cool

Under the intake manifold in the V of the block.

Best I can do.

See the two grey wires and the sensors that screw in? There's one facing each way.

Another shot

Actually, he has a 5S-FE - I still want him to download the manual...
