Replace panel?93speed 04-30-2002, 09:34 PM I have a rust problem in the usual honda spot - around the rear wheel wells (both sides) :( One body shop quoted me $800 for cut and weld and blending the paint and fixing my bumper (clip completely gone). Back to the present.... I was at honda-auto-body-parts.com and I found the whole quarterpanel for $180. heres their pic... http://www.honda-auto-body-parts.com/images/products_small/1190-2.JPG Is that what I want? About how much would it be to get that put in? I'd rather replace the panel instead of patching new rust every year. Damn Ohio weather  Beyond Imagination 05-01-2002, 12:04 AM Originally posted by 93speed About how much would it be to get that put in? Damn Ohio weather  Best is go back to the body shop you got quoted in the first place and ask them for an estimate to replace the whole rear quarter panel ... it will be expensive due to the amount of labour involved to cut and weld ... 93speed 05-01-2002, 06:47 AM I think that would be cheaper than spending $800 every year to patch more spots when I can replace the whole thing.... I guess I'll see how much $$ it is first then decide jaxle 05-01-2002, 07:15 AM wow, i didnt think a whole panel would be that cheap, post up how much the shop quotes cos i might replace mine sumday. 93speed 05-01-2002, 03:34 PM wow, i didnt think a whole panel would be that cheap, post up how much the shop quotes cos i might replace mine sumday. Will do. I just found out that a good friend of my uncle is opening up a bodyshop this weekend so I'm gonna see if I can get hooked up with a discount :D 93speed 05-01-2002, 04:28 PM jaxle, I don't know if you saw it or not, but the quarter panel for a 1993 civic is only $122 (ea). I don't know if you have a coupe or sedan, but go to www.honda-auto-body-parts.com and enter your info. Rein 05-01-2002, 07:35 PM Anybody know where I can get replacement trunk panels for a 92 hatch? Mine are all scratched up and one has a cut in it. Beyond Imagination 05-01-2002, 08:14 PM threethirteen 05-15-2002, 12:32 AM dude, you can probably install the panel yourself and save your money on the body shop labor. its so easy. you can take apart the body of a honda with a screwdriver. I would love for you to tell me where you can screw the entire quarter panel off considering it is welded to the body of the car. threethirteen 05-15-2002, 09:50 PM heh..didnt realize it was the rear panel..a little more difficult than the front. still though. it isnt welded, unless the accord is different from any other honda. ive replaced quarters on civics, integras, cl's..never an accord. but they all come off with a little love. i've never come across a welded panel, even on the back. hidden screws, rivets, sometimes even a little glue on those second-hand cars. but no welds. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
