Has anyone had expierences with these extremely expensive spark plug wires? They say to increase HP 2-5% guaranteed.. but I need some actual opinions to pursuade me to purchase these $160 wires..

I just bought a 00 Neon last weekend and looking to make some upgrades soon. AEM air intake kit is on its way and a Pace Setter exhaust system will be ordered soon as well.

Anyone with expierences or "heard" or things about these wires, let me know!

nologies are a joke. not worth your money. buy a set of MSD or CRANE wires and your better off, plus you have a bunch of money in your pocket!

Cool, thanks man. What else can I do some-what inexpensive to gain some extra HP? I heard about replacing cams.. anything else? This is my first car, so I want to be successful at adding HP to the car; no so much as in trying to get to the 200 HP mark, just some HP gains all around, so in the future, I will have the confidence to drop thousands into a car. I'm only a mear 18 years old, but I don't want the fastest car around either.. just trying to keep it some-what simple.

16" rims are in the mix too. Or 16's to big, and stick to 15's?

cams are a great way to get power, but are pretty darn expensive, especially if you cant do it yourself. my cam setup cost me around a grand, and thats with me doing all my own labor! intake, exhaust, header, underdrive pulleys, look into a mopar upgraded computer (if its a manual tranny) or into getting your computer reflashed!

Pace Setter exhaust system will be ordered soon as well.

LaterNo spark plug wires will give you any additional HP. Good wires will produces an extremely effective Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) "choke". This choke, or suppression capability, keeps the EMI inside the wire where it cannot interfere with other electronics on your vehicle.

Have you ordered the pacesetter yet? If not, you may want to reconsider if you live where it snows. The salted roads are notrorious for eating up the pacesetter exhaust.

Adding a cam, you only have one, will give you some additional HP, but should also be tuned w/a Dyno in order to get the peak performance out of it. An adjustable cam gear would go great along with this also, but as mentioned is a more expensive mod.

If you are just starting out, get the intake, bigger TB, maybe a header, then exhaust, and a UDP. That should get you started.

its all about overall tire height! if you were to run 16" wheels with a shorter profile tire, so that the overall height is the same, and the weight is the same, then you wont notice anything.

Even if the tire is the same diameter, the weight is still further from the center hub than with the smaller wheels.

It takes more torque to accelerate a wheel that has more inertia.
