4L60-e question?

2000 Silverado 1500
4.3
145000 miles
New 4.3 @ 103000 miles
At about 140000 miles when it was hot out it wouldn't stay in overdrive or if I had been on a trip of 100+miles same thing. It never set a code or anything but after a little research it seem common in this trans.
So I bought what I figured were the correct parts to fix this problem,
Sonnax TCC Apply Valve PWM unit
Sonnax Regulator Valve Kit (and the reamer)
Along with a 4-3 Sequence Valve Kit (and the reamer)
Along with tranny goo, to hold the check ball in place.
After putting it all back together it shifts fine but there is no lockup?
I have only put on maybe 10 miles, it shifts a little hard for 1-2 is there a sorta break in time to work everthing in, and to flush out the goo or did I miss something, it all went together great.
After all the reaming the new parts fit well no hang up in the stroke that I could feel.
Or did I just waste 325.00 dollars when at these miles I should have gone with a rebuild.
We have a couple of local trans shop and each quoted me a price of around 1800 for what they do is just swap out mine for a instock rebuild they come with a 12,000 miles warranty.
