Kinda lucky.

I took my truck in to the dealer today for some problems i have been having for a while. Well when I bought the truck (through the dealer), I got the 12 month 12000 mile extended powertrain warranty with it for free. Well, when the guy at the dealer called the place that they call to make sure the stuf is under warranty, they said that they didnt have any record of me owning the truck. IT WAS NEVER SWITCHED OVER FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER!!! lol. So it took him a while because he had to go and look up the original sale contract. Anyway, Im getting my new nickel slip yoke and intake gasket done for a total of $100. Im just lucky there was some sort of record about my warranty. Now I just have to get a Fuel pump/sender from GM Parts Direct and my truck will be good as new.

Speaking of the fuel pump. Whats easier....dropping the tank or lifting the bed?? I would think lifting the bed would be easier.

Re: Kinda lucky.

Sounds lucky to me... as far as the fuel pump when I did mine we just dropped the tank to avoid scratching the bed or getting it out of square. It wasn't difficult. Took two of us about 1 1/2 hour.

Right. This advice is probably obvious, but run your tank close to empty before doing the job.
