I received a traffic ticket for my backup lights staying on when my headlight are turned on. The panel lights come on when I shift into reverse. I have now noticed a lot of GMC/Cheverolet trucks and vans with the same problem. Is there a simple fix or is this a class action problem? I have to get this fixed in the next 30 days or pay a fine and park the vehicle until it is fixed.

Any suggestions?
