I was just wondering what it would take to change a fwd to a rwd i'v got a 95 mc and in a year or so I will get back from a deployment and have no wife or kids to spend money on and I thought it would be fun to try I have a prity good idea of what will get replaced but am always open to new perspectives. Any thoughts?

Well for starters you would have to hack up the firewall to fit a 700r4 in there! then make a custom engine cradle to spin the engine from tranverse! Then get yourself a camero rear end! find a way to get it hooked up to the monte! Mover the fuel tank to a safty fuel cell in the trunk. Now you will have to find a new locaction to put the exhaust and fuel lines! You would need a seperate controler for the trans and new linkage system to shift with!

Thats about where I stopped researching it! but you can pick up from where I left off!

Also there is a allwheel drive vehicle that ran off a 3400sfi which is the same block as the 3100sfi! you might be able to use that! And a pontiac 6000 was a allwheel drive vehicls so you might be able to use some parts with that!
