Question brake problem with 2001 safari

I have a 2001 gmc safari with 34700 miles on it and as I come to a complete stop it feels like something is not grabbing and the anti lock kicks in this dont happen that much but when it does. NOT COOL
when my wife and 3 kids are there. I just replaced the rotors and pads 1 day ago with the best parts I could find the old rotors looked grooved big time so I thought it was that. Then after changing that stuff It still does it so before this old school mech goes to a GM or someother scam garage anybody else have this problem and what fixed it . Oh ya it has 3 month old tires so its not that.
